If you become over heated by hot weather, a hot flash or over did it at the gym, physically cool down the body with essential oils and Sithali, the yoga cooling breath. I recommend “The Little Book of Yoga Breathing: Pranayama Made Easy” by Scott Shaw.

This is a book of different Yoga Pranayama breathing techniques. It is broken down very simply so anyone can do them and benefit immensely from being able to deliver Prana to every cell of the body for more robust health. The Sithali, cooling breath, has been said to remove desire for food, water, and sleep when they cannot be had. Before beginning this breathing exercise apply Young Living Peppermint essential oil to the back of your neck and the Stress Away roll-on under your ears along your neck and on your wrist and to the bottoms of your feet.

Breathing Technique:
Sit down, close your eyes, and observe the incoming and outgoing process of your breathing for a few moments. In a calm state curl your tongue in a circular pattern and extend it outside of your mouth. As you breath, bring the air in through the central passage way. Do not force your in-breath but consciously take it in, while mentally witnessing Prana feeding your entire being. As the final part of your inhalation is reaching completion bring your tongue inside of your mouth and close your lips. Hold the breath for as long as comfortable. Then, release the breath through your nose. Experience the light feeling of emptiness gained from the absence of air in your lungs for a moment or two until you feel it is time to breath. Repeat by extending your curled tongue and slowly breath in.
Perform this pranayama technique up to fifteen breath cycles.
