LOVE AND PEACE FOR THE PERFECT HOLIDAY SEASON

December 7, 2014 By Liz Pilotto

It is the holiday season. As adults we have always urged the children to “Believe”. Believe in miracles, believe you can have all that you wish for, believe you can be what you want to be, believe in yourself, believe in others. In the hustle bustle of everyday life we, as grown-ups, tend to forget that we have to live our lives with that very thought of believing. The idea of believing is a thought that has images which will bring us everything we need or want in this life. What a simple concept, yet we find it so hard to “BELIEVE.”

The Magic, by Ronda Byrne will show everyone in 28 days how to be grateful so that all you believe will come true. The most perfect start to this New Year would be to do all the exercises presented in each chapter of the book, day by day to bring about amazing changes in your life.  Life is simple. We make it way too hard and complicated. The New Year challenge is to “DO” The Magic starting January 1, 2015. The result would be a perfect, abundant world full of love and peace. All one as to do is believe. Believe in Rhonda Byrne’s life experience and try it for yourself. Anyone looking for a life change full of love, abundance, happiness and joy should not wait- get the book and get started!
“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”
-Leo Tolstoy

Young Living essential oils can help keep that positive, happy, joyous, loving, caring attitude alive.

Some essential oils to look at:
*Citrus essential oils all have the amazing ability to be uplifting and change a negative into a positive. I always add them to my oil blends.
*Believe essential oil would be a very logical start for the New Year. Bring about feelings of strength and faith. The evergreen aromas promote a sense of well being and relaxation. Restore your feelings of hope with the beautiful aroma of Believe.
*Joy essential oil is a perfect holiday essential oil creating magnetic energy and happiness to the heart. Put a few drops on your heart and inhale to bring a smile to your face. A great gift to be given for use as a perfume with floral notes promoting feelings of security, love, support and joy.
*Clarity essential oil will keep one focused and mindful while traveling along the correct path to reach all dreams. It can be beneficial for clearing confusion, opening the conscious mind, stimulating and calming. It will help to keep one focused and relaxed. Clarity grounds and strengthens. Absolutely one of my favorites.
*Gratitude essential oil is of utmost importance in the New Year, supporting emotional and spiritual progress. A few Biblical Oils come together in this blend to keep reminding us of the importance of gratitude.
*Harmony essential oil will keep the positive attitude in check by elevating mind and body. It helps release negative memories. This oil is grounding, relaxing, helps overcome stress and despair so one can remain always grateful.
*Acceptance essential oil will open our minds to accept all people and possibilities that a grateful life presents. Overcoming the negative, promoting peace, confidence and awareness, the perfect qualities for a New Year.

The essential oils can be diffused or inhaled. Apply a couple drops behind ears, over heart, on wrists, base of neck, temples, or base of spine. Put 4-8 drops on cotton balls and locate on vents. Go to www.Etsy.com to purchase a beautiful filagree locket. Place a few drops of essential oil on a diffuser pad and place it in the locket so when the necklace is worn the aroma of the essential oil stays with you throughout the day.

THE AMAZING GONG BATH

November 30, 2014 By Liz Pilotto

At the beginning of time the first sound of the universe was Om. This is the song of the gong. The vibration of sound effects one on a cellular level. The gong bath is used to reduce stress, heal, allow for meditation and to find spirituality. The gong is one of the most effective instruments we can use for sound healing. The gong bath may open up chakras and release blocked energy for a healthy mind and body.

A gong bath is a form of sound therapy. An internal body massage is experienced as sound waves pass through the body. The body, being composed mostly of water, accepts the sound in a therapeutic way as the song of the gong cause cells to reverberate. This is how the gong brings balance to the physical and spiritual of our being.

Every gong bath is unique with the song it sings. Every gong bath will be a different experience for the gong player and for those who are present to receive its vibrations. Each group of people who come together for the playing of the gong will bring with them their own unique energy. This energy comes together to make the special, unique song that the gong will play that night for everyone present, bathing them in a sound that is warm, nurturing and deeply cleansing.

The gong bath is known to bring possible healing emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. In duality with the gong, so do the oils of the Bible serve us on all levels spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. It seems logical in creating a heightened benefit to the gong bath one would want to anoint oneself with some Biblical Oils. The choice of a particular essential oil will depend on a person’s specific needs.

The Precious Biblical Oils
*Sandalwood – carries oxygen at a cellular level and stimulates the release of melatonin.
*Calamus – aromatic stimulant.
*Cassia – Immune system builder
*Cinnamon – anointing perfume.
*Cypress – may help with permanent healing at a cellular level. Relax tight muscles.
*Cedar-wood – ritual cleansing.
*Galbanum – spiritually uplifting yet grounding emotionally balancing.
*Frankincense – holy anointing oil, used to enhance meditation and elevate spiritual consciousness.
*Hyssop – help for focusing mind in meditation, purification from sin, addictions, and destructive habits.
*Myrrh – elevate feelings of well-being.
*Onycha – comforting, soothing, uplifting.
*Cistus – calming to nerves.
*Spikenard – reduces anxiety.
*Myrtle – may help balance hormones

Before one of my gong baths I anointed the crown of my head and my heart with Frankincense and Myrrh. I used Spikenard and Galbanum on the wrists and the bottom of my feet. I applied Hyssop on the third eye in the middle of the forehead. I then laid back and experienced the most wonderful gong sound experience played by Richard Rudis.

stuffing

Ingredients

  • 8 cups 1/2″ cubed, gluten free bread (I added a few pieces of gluten free raisin, cinnamon bread)

  • 2 tbs. dried chives
  • 2 tbs. poultry seasoning
  • 1 quart of broth

Directions

Spray grapeseed oil on both sides of the pieces of gluten free bread. Sprinkle with garlic sea salt. Cut the bread into 1/2″ cube pieces. Toast in a 275 degree oven,
tossing about occasionally until crisp, 30-40 minutes.

In a large sauté pan add the olive oil and all of the essential oils. Mix them together.
Add the onion, celery and garlic, sauté until soft.

In a large mixing bowl add the toasted bread, the onion, celery and garlic sauté, the cubed apple, dried cranberries, and pecan pieces. Toss them together.

Bring the quart of broth to a boil. Stir in the poultry seasoning and chives. Pour the broth over the bread mixture, mix well. Allow the hot broth to absorb into the bread.

Beat the 1 egg or flax egg and add it to the stuffing, mixing it in.

If using any sausage add and mix at this time.

Put the mixture into a rectangle baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45-50 minutes.
