LEMON RASPBERRY BARS

*Bar Crust
1 – 1.3oz package of “Natures All”organic dried raspberries or blueberries (Amazon, Whole Foods)
1 cup organic almond flour (Anthony’s Goods. Anthonysgoods.com, Amazon)
3 tbs. Organic vegan butter (Nutiva. Thrive Market or Amazon)
3 tbs organic agave syrup (Thrive Market, Vitacost, IHerb)
1 tsp Simply Organic vanilla flavor
1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic lemon flavor

Grind up the dried fruit then mix all the above ingredients together.
Spray oil on an 8×8 pan
Firmly pat the crust into the square pan. Set aside and make the filling.

Preheat the oven at 350

*Lemon filling
1 cup kite hill ricotta
1 – 8oz pkg. kite hill almond cream cheese
1/2 cup organic agave
3 tsp stevia
1/3 cup organic lemon juice
2 tbs lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic lemon flavor
1 organic flax egg (1 tablespoon ground flaxseed mixed with 2 1/2 tablespoons water. Mix and let rest for 7-10 minutes)
1 1/2 tbs organic arrowroot powder (Anthony’s. Anthony’s.com or Amazon)

In a food processor whip up the two almond cheeses for a minute
Add all the rest of the ingredients and whip for another 3-4 minutes
Evenly spread the lemon filling on top of the crust
Bake for 30-35 minutes
Cool and cut into bars
Sprinkle with Agave Powder

Quinoa Falafel

SAUTE
In a skillet add 3 tablespoons organic olive oil and heat on medium
1/2 cup chopped organic shallots
3/4 crushed organic garlic cloves
1/2 cup finely chopped organic carrots
1/4 cup finely chopped organic red pepper

Add:
1 cup uncooked organic quinoa washed very well
20 oz. organic bone broth or vegetable stock
1/2 tsp Simply Organic coriander
1 1/2 tsp Simply Organic cumin
2 tsp Simply Organic turmeric
Pinch of Simply Organic Cardamon
Pinch of Simply Organic red pepper flakes
Sea Salt to taste
Bring all the above ingredients to a boil, then turn down to simmer. Cover and Simmer about 25 minutes or until all water is absorbed. It will be light and fluffy.

While quinoa is cooking make your Flax Eggs
3 tbs ground flax meal
9 tbs water
Mix well, cover and put in the refrigerator to sit for 15 minutes

MAKING THE FALAFEL
Mix together:
1/2 cup almond flour which you have added 1/2 tsp xantham gum. Mix well the almond flour and xantham gum
Add all of the cooked quinoa to the flour mixture
Adjust any seasoning at this time. Refrigerate 1/2 hour.

Use a large cookie sheet. I like to use parchment paper on the bottom for easy clean up. Spray the pan with spray oil.
Keeping your hands greased with oil make the falafel balls.
Place them on the cookie sheet.
When the balls are all made you can roll them in sesame seeds or leave them plain
Spray the falafel balls with spray Olive oil on the cookie sheet. Coat the balls well with oil.

Bake in 375 degree oven for 25-30 minutes

BUTTERNUT SQUASH ALMOND RICOTTA CUSTARD CUPS

Ingredients

  • 2 cups very firmly packed cooked organic butternut squash
  • 1 1/2 cups kite hill almond ricotta cheese
  • 4 tbs flax eggs (1tbs flax meal to 3tbs of water. Mix in bowl. Let set in refrigerator for 15 minutes)
  • 1/2 cup organic date sugar
  • 1/2 cup organic agave syrup
  • 1 tbs Simply Organic vanilla
  • 1 tbs Simply Organic cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup melted vegan butter (Nutiva. Thrive Market or Amazon)
  • 1 cup organic almond flour (Anthony’s. Anthony’s.com or Amazon)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp xanthan gum

In a food processor blend first 9 ingredients together. Measure out the dry ingredients in a measure cup together. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until incorporated. Fill paper muffin cups almost full and place in a muffin tin to cook. Bake 325 for 25-30 min.

ALMOND FLOUR GOJI BERRY COOKIES

Cover 1/2-3/4 cup of dried goji berries with orange juice. Add 1 teaspoon Simply Organic Lemon Flavor. Soak until plumped up. Takes a couple hours.

In a vitamix or food processor pulse:

  • 3 cups organic almond flour (Anthony’s. Anthony’s.com or Amazon)
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt and baking soda and xantham gum

Add:

  • 6 tablespoons organic melted vegan butter (Nutiva. Thrive Market or Amazon)
  • 1/4 cup organic agave syrup
  • 2 tsp. stevia
  • Rind of 1 Lemon
  • 1 flax egg
    (For each flax egg combine 1tbs. ground flax meal and 3 tbs. of water. Stir, let sit in fridge for 15 min.)

Pulse to combine. Put mixed batter in a bowl. Drain the goji berries and mix them into the batter.

Take a tablespoon of cookie dough and form a ball and flatten it slightly on a cookie pan. Bake in a 350 oven for 13-15 minutes. These will be soft cookies.

A Most Blissful Bath

2 cups Epsom Salt
Add to the Epsom Salts these Young Living Essential Oils:
7 drops @ Patchouly and Ylang Ylang
10 drops @ Lemon, Grapefruit, Lavender, and Eucalyptus Young Living Essential Oils
This smell is intoxicating, you will LOVE it!

SULFURZYME

Castor Oil Pack to Detoxify

What does it do:
From Dr. Mercola – “When castor oil is absorbed through your skin (according to Cayce and McGarey), your lymphocyte count increases. Increased lymphocytes speed up the removal of toxins from your tissues, which promotes healing.”

What is a castor oil pack good for:
*promotes healing
*reduce inflammation (IBS, Arthritis, Strained Joints or Muscles)
*improve elimination (constipation)
*improve circulation (especially Lymph)
*pain (menstrual, joints, muscles)
*relaxation
*skin related issues

Where to apply:
*the whole abdominal area
*the specific joint or muscle with pain or injury
*lower abdominal area for menstrual issues
*right side of abdomen for liver detox

What is needed:
*Hexane free Organic Castor Oil (Health Food Store, Amazon)
*undyed wool flannel (Health Food Store, Amazon)
*plastic wrap
*towel
*old clothes you don’t mind getting stained
*essential oils (optional, but I love to add them in)
*heating pad (optional)

Here’s what I do to detox target the liver area:
*lay a piece of plastic wrap on the table. Make it long enough to wrap once around your body
*place a piece of wool in the middle length of the plastic wrap (the wool should be large enough to cover the area to be treated)
*coat the piece of wool, thoroughly, with the castor oil (I spread it with my fingers)
*using the essential oil of your choice drop a few drops around the piece of flannel on the area to be treated
*carefully take the flannel and the plastic wrap and put on you abdomen wrapping the plastic wrap all the way around your body
*take the whole roll of plastic wrap and wrap it around your middle a couple of times
*lay down and cover the plastic wrap with a towel
*add the heat of the heating pad
*leave the pack on for 30-60 minutes
*remove and shower
*as with any detox, drinking lots of water to flush the toxins out of the body is extremely important. Add a drop of Citrus, Peppermint, or Spearmint Essential Oils to your water.

If you need to target a pain, apply it directly to that painful area. An example would be say for knee pain. You can layer on a few essential oils right on the painful area. For knee pain I might layer Peppermint, Copaiba and Ginger. Follow the above directions, applying the castor oil to the piece of flannel then put it on the pain, wrap with Saran Wrap and apply a heating pad. I have even gone to bed for the night. Be careful with the heating pad not to burn yourself.

Some Essential Oils I use:
*Frankincense – for everything and anything
*DiGize – tummy troubles
*Copaiba – inflammation
*Lavender – calming and great for pain
*Aroma Siez – muscle tension
*Clary Sage – menstrual problems
*Helichrysum – liver ailments, lymph drainage and scar tissue
*Peace and Calming – insomnia, may help cleanse liver and calm lymphatic system

Einkorn Grain

With the need for more food throughout the world our grain has become compromised. When the farmers created faster grain production they eliminated necessary steps to produce a healthy grain. With this quick processing we lose the enzyme needed for digestion. The producers find it more important to create higher yield so more money is made. “The wheat of today is not the same as the wheat of ancient times. Is it possible that this ancient staff of life has become the staff of death and disease today?” This new era of food production created new diseases and undiagnosed symptoms along with a new type of food poisoning. A lot of the pain and inflammatory processes may be caused by gluten intolerance.

Laboratory crossbreeding creates unnatural structures in wheat such as 42 chromosomes. These unfamiliar proteins cannot be digested by our bodies. “Einkorn, with it’s 1 genome, 14 chromosomes, low glycemic index, and very low gluten levels, is definitely our best choice. It is an ancient mineral-and vitamin-dense  grain that is very different from the 42-chromosome, man-made, genetically manipulated modern wheat that threatens the health of the people of the world today.”

YOUNG LIVING DEFENSE AGAINST GERMS

*Take an Inner Defense everyday. This is a supplement containing the powerful Thieves blend.
*Drink NingXia Red. Highest anti-oxidant liquid dietary supplement from whole food sources. Helps remove the free radicals to help keep our cells healthy.
*Put a drop of Thieves essential oil on each foot. The pores of the feet are the largest, allowing the a Thieves essential oil to be absorbed into the body. Especially important for the children going back to school.
*Add Lemon essential oil to your drinking water. (Alkaline water is best). Lemon essential oil helps build white blood cells which are needed to fight infection.
*Take AlkaLime. This is an acid-neutralizing mineral formulation that keeps the body’s proper pH. Proper pH is important to keep the body’s  resistance up to help fight off disease. The effectiveness of essential oils are enhanced when the body’s blood and tissues are alkaline.
*Dip a q-tip in coconut oil. Swab the inside of the nose, using a clean q-tip for each nostril. On a clean q-tip put a drop of tea tree oil on each side of the q-tip. Swab the inside of each nostril, again, using a clean q-tip for each nostril. Germs enter the nose and mouth first, so kill them dead in their tracks.
*Add a drop of Thieves essential oil or Tea Tree essential oil on your Thieves toothpaste morning and night.
*Thieves lozenges are not only great for coughs, I love slowly dissolving one in my mouth whenever I have a scratchy throat. It disappears for me by morning.
*Gargle morning and night with Thieves mouthwash. This mouth wash was made so that it could be swallowed. Yes, gargle, swish and swallow. This is the way to help kill off the germs in the mouth.
*Use the Thieves spray to spray on your toothbrush and tongue scraper to keep it fresh and free of germs. This spray can also be sprayed into your mouth.
*Keep the non-toxic Thieves hand sanitizer to kill germs when you are on the go.
*Clean all surfaces with the Thieves cleaner to keep everything a non-toxic clean.

*The best is the home made nose spray. Order the empty, glass nose spray bottle from Amazon.

– Add: 1 drop each of these essential oils – Tea Tree, Lavender and Copaiba.
– Put 3-4 drops of any carrier oil. (ex. Organic olive oil)
– Fill the bottle until full with distilled water
Shake each time before using. 1 spray up each nostril
as you need it a few times a day when you’re not feeling so good.

Heart Attack and Water:
A cardiologist determined that heart attacks can be triggered by dehydration.
Water and Aspirin should be good to go.
Drinking the water at the correct time is very important. This from a cardiac specialist: Drinking water at a certain time maximizes it’s effectiveness on the body.
*2 glasses of water after waking up (helps activate internal organs)
*1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal (helps digestion)
*1 glass of water before taking a bath (helps lower blood pressure)
*1 glass of water before going to bed (may help avoid stroke, heart attack and leg cramps)

Mayo Clinic on aspirin:
Dr. Virend Somers is a Cardiologist from the Mayo Clinic. He is the lead author of this report in the July 29, 2008 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
Most heart attacks occur in the day, generally between 6 am and 12 noon. Having one during the night, when at rest, means that something unusual happened. Somers and his colleagues have been working for a decade to show that sleep apnea is to blame.

1. If you take an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at night. Aspirin has a 24-hour “half-life”. Most heart attacks happen in the wee hours of the morning. The aspirin will be at it’s morning peak by taking it at night.

2. Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve instantly on the tongue. This works faster than a tablet. Besides in your medicine cabinet, keep aspirin by your bedside, in the car, at work and at play. It’s about heart attacks.
